Gear lockout adjustment (self-centering shifters)
Adjusting 1st and 2nd gear:
Move the shifter to the position between 1st and 2nd gear. There's a screw that controls how far the shifter can move in this direction. Tighten this screw until you can shift into 1st and 2nd gear smoothly, without grinding or forcing the shifter.
Adjusting 5th and 6th gear:
Move the shifter to the position between 5th and 6th gear. Similar to step 1, there's a screw for this movement. Tighten it until you can shift into 5th and 6th gear smoothly.
Adjusting Reverse gear:
Engage a lockout collar. Move the shifter to Reverse gear. There's a screw that controls how far the shifter can move for Reverse gear. Tighten this screw until you can shift into Reverse smoothly.
